On 20 May 2016 the football club celebrated its 70th anniversary with a celebration at L’Unica in Brunswick. The evening was attended by over 450 of our past and present players, their partners and supporters.

2. President Bruce Runting receives a memento of the first year of the club kindly framed and donated by Lorraine Chrznowski and Muriel Neish. The photograph of the team includes Norm Sheppard, father of Lynette and Muriel, who was a key player in the team.
3. Representatives of the club from the early days: Len Drury, Geoff Armstrong, Jym Teal, Stan Beardmore, Jackie Beardmore and Bill McLarty.
4. Kevin Sheedy makes a presentation to two of the earliest players at the club. Len Drury who played in the first game in 1946 and Stan Beardmore who played in the first premiership team in 1948.
